In this section I am suppose to tell you who and what this magazine is all about. Actually it is pretty simple if I sit here long enough and think about it. But in order for you to think the same way, you have to understand where my thoughts came from in the first place. So let's start !Big Beautiful Women was something I had been thinking about almost all my adult life. It was that thought way deep in the back of your thought of thoughts. It wasn't always noticeable, but it was always there. And well I finally acted on it.
Being a 31 year-old mother of almost 6 children, I am like many other women who are a little over weight, or even a lot over weight. But some people do not realize that just because we are pleasantly plump women, does not mean that we are all unhappy pleasantly plump women. I am a very happy person, and so are many other women who are in the same category. It is just assumed because we are 10, 20, 30, 40, or even 100 lb... heavier than someone else, that we are automatically in distress and need to be saved right away. Not true! Not true at all.
If you were to look around, you would notice that half the women are thin, and the other half are full-figured. But who is to say which woman is the better woman? Can you answer that? Can anyone for that matter answer that question? Or should we just finally realize that everyone is built differently than the other, and learn to live with it, without criticizing one another for it.
And that is what this is about for me. Telling women that it is OK to be a full figured woman. That it is beautiful to be a full figured woman. And to actually have something that we can read, and look at for a chance. Instead of wishing there was a magazine we could seek advice from, or look at fashion in that is solely for the full figured woman. And not just about how much weight you can lose in a week.
So this is it. Big Beautiful Women is not going to be about cutting calories, or exercising to be thin. It is going to be a magazine about WOMEN. Real women ! I truly hope you enjoy it. I have enjoyed imagining it, now it is finally becoming reality. Wish me luck !!
